Adolescent Mental Health Support

Therapy for Teenagers in Bracknell and Online

Adolescence can be an exciting yet overwhelming stage of life. Many young people experience anxiety, depression, eating difficulties, or challenges at school — and it can be hard to know how best to support them. As a parent, you may feel worried, frustrated, or unsure where to turn. You don’t have to face this alone.

I offer compassionate, specialist therapy for adolescents (ages 12+) in Bracknell and online across the UK.

My Approach with Teenagers

I have over 8 years’ experience working in NHS CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services), supporting young people with high-risk and complex needs. This includes working with:

  • Anxiety and panic

  • Depression and low mood

  • Eating disorders and body image struggles

  • Self-harm and suicidal thoughts

  • Trauma, bullying, and emotionally based school avoidance

  • Neurodiversity (ADHD, autism, and related challenges)

Many teenagers find traditional “talk therapy” intimidating or difficult to engage with. Art Therapy is a gentle, creative way for young people to express themselves when words feel too hard. No art skills are needed, just a willingness to explore.

Specialist Support for Eating Disorders in Teenagers

Are you worried about your daughter’s eating, but have been told by services that she “isn’t bad enough”? Alongside my broader work with adolescents, I have specialist experience supporting teenage girls battling eating disorders (including anorexia nervosa) and body image struggles. Research shows that early intervention significantly improves recovery rates, reduces symptoms, and increases the likelihood of long-term wellbeing. If you’re worried about your teenager’s eating habits and don’t know where to turn, please reach out for a free consultation call. You do not need to face this alone.

I provide a safe, confidential space for teenagers to explore their relationship with food, emotions, and self-esteem. Using talk therapy, art psychotherapy, and EFT (tapping), I support them to:

  • Express difficult feelings that may feel too overwhelming to put into words

  • Understand their relationship with the eating disorder and recognise it as an unhelpful coping strategy

  • Develop healthier coping strategies and emotional regulation tools they can use in daily life

  • Begin to rebuild a more positive relationship with their body and identity

From my experience, it’s essential to take a collaborative approach when treating eating disorders such as anorexia. While sessions focus on the young person, I also provide practical support for parents and, when needed, work closely with schools or NHS services like CAMHS.

A Holistic, Supportive Approach

Because of my CAMHS background, I understand how mental health services and schools operate. I am experienced in working alongside other professionals and systems to ensure your teenager receives joined-up support.

I also recognise that parents and families need support too. As part of the process, I provide guidance to parents so you feel more equipped to understand and support your child’s journey.

"Caitlin saw our daughter over many months and she really helped get our daughter back after being diagnosed with Anorexia. Our daughter enjoyed going to see her and had a fantastic way with her. Couldn’t speak more highly or recommend Caitlin more. Thank you."
